2/8/2011 - Indoor Rock Climbing

Last night, my wife and I had the opportunity to drop the kids off and do what we enjoy the most...go rock climbing.

After a nice teriyaki chicken dinner, we went to Vertical World in Redmond.

It was a great time. There is definately a difference in climbing after all of the working out I have been doing. I was able to do a lot more moves than I have in the past and all-in-all felt more comfortable on the wall.

Obviously, I was only able to climb as long as my fingers were able to, and there was a very prominent point at which they gave up...after that, I wasn't able to complete any routes.

I climbed 2 5.9's and 2 5.10-s. My wife also did great climbing 5.8's. Considering we are only able to climb once a year, I think we did great.

My forearms and abs are definately feeling it this morning...so although it is not triathlon training specific, I still got a great workout.
