I tried to do what people suggested for improving my swimming: I would swim each lap starting at the :00 on the big lap clock.
I did about 16 laps and completed them mostly in 55 seconds, so this would give me 5 seconds to recover and get ready.
After that, I did a few laps that were 60 seconds. I finally burned out and took time on one lap (1:15). I had a few other slow laps.
All together, I completed the workout in 36 minutes. I think I did 34 laps instead of 33.
I don't think I will be able to speed my time up. I think I am looking at a finishing time of 34-38 minutes for a 1 mile swim.
