8/2/2011 - Gym Time

It has been just about a month since I have gone to the Gym.  I figured that I would have to relearn how to do everything again.

Walk on Treadmill for 4 minutes.  The running interval workout from earlier was preventing me from doing anything major.

Benchpress: 1 set of 8 @ 95 lbs, 1 set of 8 @ 105 lbs.
Vertical press: 2 sets of 8 @ 30lbs each hand
Lat Pulldowns:  2 sets of 8 @ 90lbs
Shoulder Lifts: 2 sets of 8 @ 15lbs
Curls: 2 sets of 8 @ 30lbs
Tricep extensions: 2 sets of 8 @ 40lbs
Back extensions: 2 sets of 10
Situps: 1 set of 20
Stretch, stretch, stretch.

Today is the first day that I feel truly sore from a run workout the day before.  I think that all of my previous runs have been at a pace that can be sustained for a long period of time but doesn't really do anything in terms of muscle strengthening.
My Calfs hurt.  My hips hurt.  My shoulders hurt, my Chest hurts.  Today will be a good day of rest. 

I plan on swimming 1.2miles tomorrow so I hope a lot of this soreness clears up by then.
