10/17/2011 - Running Intervals

I had to walk a few times, which killed my pace.  It was a harder interval: 
2:15 @ 9 minute pace
2:45 @ 7 minute pace
It was very cold outside and I didn't warm up until halfway through.
Unfortunately, 2/3 the way through I began to overheat.
I walked at the beginning of the 5th set, and walked for the majority of the slow portion of the 6th set.

It is good to know that I can do a 5k during a lunch workout without major problems.  There isn't really any desire to sign up for 5k races any longer.  I would like to stick with 10ks and try a half mary or two.

This does show that I have room to improve.  I just hope that I can continue to improve.  I am also eager to get some good routes tracked with my garmin.

Tonight at the gym, I will do a bike workout for 20 minutes and work my upper body.
